A sixty-four unit residential development in Wotton-under-edge, Charfield, South Gloucestershire for long-standing client Bellway Homes.

The site, designed to ensure interaction with children from Charfield Primary School, includes a play area, amphitheatre, nature walk and newt pond.  Artist Kerry Lemon was commissioned to create a series of exciting integrated artworks across the development, inspired by local nature.

Quadconsult undertook the drainage design, which included an attenuation pond and the newt pond, providing 1m deep standing water within the centre of the pond to promote wildlife. The public open space fronting the site was detailed and modelled in 3D, and now provides a dramatic entrance to the site and an area for the local community to enjoy.
