Quadconsult was appointed as part of the Interstrand Design Team to undertake the Civil and Structural Engineering aspects of the 5-storey 39-unit apartment block providing social housing on behalf of Taff Housing Association. The new development is located on the former Riva Bingo Hall site in the Splott area of the city, gutted by fire in 2015.
The brownfield site was subject to SAB approval, which was challenging due to site constraints. An effective SuDs strategy was coupled with an outdoor amenity space and cycle parking provision to the rear courtyard of the building.
