QuadConsult, together with our associated topographical surveying consultancy Corner Point Surveys, was commissioned to undertake a 3D scan of the entire Motherwell Football Club stadium to create an extremely accurate 3D model that may be digitally manipulated to view the stadium from any angle and to extract any dimensions. This information was used to consider the need for retaining walls at the bottom of one of the stands to alter a pitch cross fall where there was limited space to meet regulatory requirements. The commission was undertaken in conjunction with Geoturf Ltd, a specialist sportsground designer based on South Wales.
